Oct. 4-8

Note from the Teacher:

      We will start a new novel next week, Indian in the Cupboard. The students will be given a project assignment to be completed once the novel is finished. More project details will be sent home in the coming weeks. Projects will be due after Fall break

Reading: Indian the Cupboard  - chapter 1-3; vocabulary words

Language Arts: run - on sentences/diagramming sentences with adjectives and direct objects

Social Studies: Study states and capitals; Chapter 1 Life in the Western Hemisphere

              Way to go fifth graders!

 The class has finished learning the states in each

region of the United States.

Now it’s time to test their knowledge on the entire USA

      I am glad to hear that so many were kept safe from  the hurricane. We were definitely blessed!
We have had a good few days getting back on track! Thanks for coming to school prepared and ready to learn. 
        Next week we will begin our I.O.W.A Assessments. Please encourage your child to get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast.  Be on time! We will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.
