Note from the Teacher

I am glad to see the excitement the students have as they have selected their famous Americans and have begun to work on their Making a Difference project.  The due date has been adjusted a bit but we will finish the projects by the end of February.  The process and skills being taught with this project are as important as the final results.  Please help your child stay on top of the daily assignments, especially the note taking.

Week at Glance January 10

Note from the Teacher
This coming week the students will get back to their normal academic routine.  Today the students received guidelines for a character friendly letter assignment.  Guidelines were discussed and sent home in Friday folders.  This assignment will be due on the 18 of January.        Also, we will be selecting a famous African American to research and study in honor of African American History month coming soon.   We will be working on this assignment both at school and at home.  Project guidelines will be sent home at the end of next week with each student in Friday folders.
We are excited to welcome Madison Darden the WCDS!   We look forward to getting to know her and help her adjust to our class and the WCDS family!
