       Welcome GRANDPARENTS! We can't wait to visit with our grandparents on Monday the 10th.

Note from the Teacher

     We are excited to be using Chromebooks this year. Each student has received a Chromebook device to use during the school year. Thank you for reviewing the contract agreement with your child. As part of our weekly instruction, the  students began learning Chromebook rules and procedures. We are anxious to use this device in our daily instruction and develop new skills. Just a reminder that the fifth grade will use their Chromebooks during school hours only. They are not allowed to carry them home. 

        Please encourage your child to be a smart, considerate, and respectful student. Thank you for the support! Have a safe Labor Day weekend!

Math:  Topic 2: Adding and Subtracting Whole Numbers & Decimals *test Wednesday 

Reading: Weekly Concept - Seeing for Yourself Creating
Genre - Informational Text/Narrative Nonfiction
Skills - Ask and answer questions; cause and effect; homographs; idioms
Selection/vocabulary *test Thursday

Language Arts:  Compound Sentences; conjuctions; run-on sentences
Review diagramming sentences; subject and predicate

Writing-using descriptive/strong words' sensory details
Spelling: Words with u sounds 

Social Studies:  USA Weekly #3;  Regions: Midwest *test Wednesday;  Northeast *test Friday 

Science: Classifying Organisms *test Friday

At day’s end ask yourself,
“What have I learned today?”

Please Look over graded work. Then  sign and return Monday in Friday Folder.
