     I am glad to see all the hard work and effort the students have been putting into their projects! The due date has been adjusted a bit but we will finish them next week. The projects will be presented in class next!

Week at a Glance Janurary 25

Note from the Teacher
    Next week we will be wrapping up our Black American projects, We Make a Difference, which are due on February 2. Also, we will set a class goal to use the IXL program more consistently.  As part of homework or in class, the students will be assigned specific topics to cover, review, and practice. Using this program will allow students to sharpen their skills while working at their own pace. The goal is to work accurately and focus on their "smart score" 80 or above.  
    Thank you for continuing to talk with your child daily concerning their work assignments, study habits, and  appropicate behavior, as well as, checking their planners for details and deadlines.  As always, thank you for your support.

Note from the Teacher
      This coming week the students will get back to their normal academic routine. Also, the students will be selecting a famous African American to research and study in honor of African American History month coming soon.  We will be working on this assignment both at school and at home.  Project guidelines will be sent home with each student in Friday folders.  Don't forget to begin working on the friendly letter assignment which is due the 19 of January. Those guidelines were dicussed and sent home today.
