Note from the Teacher

This week has gone by quickly, as we have fallen into a nice, consistent routine. We will continue to work on being prepared and organized each day. Thank you for your patience as we become comfortable with the expectations and responsibilities of fifth grade. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Math:  Topic 2: Adding and Subtracting Whole Numbers & Decimals
Reading: vocabulary; problem and solution; idioms *test Thursday
Genre: Realistic Fiction
Spelling: Words with long vowel sounds*test Friday
Language Arts:  subjects/predicates; compound subjects/predicates sentences; commas and conjunctions *test Friday
Writing- using descriptive/strong words
Social Studies:  USA regions *test Wednesday on SW region, *test Friday on West region
Science: Classifying Organisms

Please Look over graded work. Then  sign and return Monday in Friday Folder.

We have had a good week! Our citizens enjoyed the solar eclipse on the 21st. We thought it was impressive to witness such a spectacular thing of nature.
